Design, Inspiration, Installation, Research, Outreach and more... here are some examples of NALA's work...
Toloache Garden
Our very own magical garden in Tucson, Arizona. Starting in 2015 with shovel in hand, Christian Aguilar & Joaquin Murrieta got into action. Digging basins to guide the rain flow, planting native pollinator plants and adding organic mulch, this garden provides habitat for wildlife, food for birds, bees and butterflies, color and sense of place.

10 years later, this garden keeps giving and growing more and more. This is the result of the smart use of plants from this region and rainwater harvesting.

Embracing Urban Nature
In May of 2025, Christian presented her final report to graduate from the Masters in Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona. A compilation of interviews from very inspiring local professionals that work in efforts related to nature-based solutions, conservation, policy and more.
